The Artist

"Stylized Realism with Surreal Undertones"

Youngblood is an exciting artist with a wholly personal style of painting. After spending most of his life in the U.S. Virgin Islands, he now makes his home in Wynnewood, PA.

His highly unusual and unique acrylic paintings range from flowers to scenic subjects. His more recent works reveal his fascination with automobiles. His paintings feature delightfully imaginative and detailed reflections bouncing off the highly polished contours of antique automobiles such as a 1953 Bentley and a 1956 Jaguar.

Youngblood’s acrylic paintings and drawings have been exhibited extensively throughout the Caribbean Islands, North America and Europe. His work was selected to be part of several international exhibitions of Caribbean art shown in France, New York and Washington, D.C.

His paintings have won critical acclaim and numerous awards for excellence. He was the winner of two National Scholastic Gold Key awards and his work is represented in many private collections and galleries (including the John and Mable Ringling Museum) throughout the U.S. and the Caribbean.

Art reviewer Dr. Robert V. Vaughn writes, "(Youngblood) displays versatility, and the beauty of his subjects is one of his hallmarks. His works are flawless in composition, execution and technique… He is going to be a force to be reckoned with in the international art world… His talent is too big to be hidden."

Paul has been affiliated with several art galleries and art associations. He has won numerous "Best of Show" awards in regional competitions for his unique style of painting. Since moving from Jacksonville, Florida, he is continuing his award winning paintings, with a new sense of direction in Pennsylvania.
